wall sconce forum

Can I install a ''ceiling light'' on a wall? This is an exterior light for a deck.?

The box says it is an outdoor ceiling light, but l wanna put it on the

exterior wall instead of the ceiling; it is 17'' x 17'' x 6'' deep,

basically a square that mounts flush.By looking at it, l can not see any

reason why l would not be able to mount it like one would a sconce light,
